The PR Flywheel

Mood of the month 🧐
Same, but for PR people.
This is one of those weeks where it's impossible for a reporter to know if someone is ignoring you or is legitimately at the beach.

Tips and insights 📚
In PR, silence isn't always golden, in fact it *can be* suspicious.

AI for pitch writing is disastrous to media and your brand. I do not recommend.

Once again, PR is NOT about who you know.
Just because you may have a relationship with a journalist, that does NOT mean they will automatically run your clients' news & stories.
The bottom line? It needs to be a compelling, timely story-that's a fit for their audience.

PR is hard.
PR pros should only handle a handful of clients at a time.
The time your PR professional has to focus on your pitch (and your pitch only) and the number of placements they land have a direct correlation.

If you're talking with PR consultants or agencies, be sure to ask them if they focus on proactive PR.
Why? Because relying on HARO (Help a Reporter) is NOT a proactive PR strategy.
